Bifocal reading glasses

When we have vision problems we often cannot decide on glasses or contact lenses.

When we are having vision problems we cannot decide which one to choose: glasses or contact lenses. Both have their benefits and drawbacks, and both provide satisfactory vision correction. Contact lenses are more comfortable to use but glasses are easier and quicker to use. Both, eyeglasses and contact lenses are good for vision correction, against astigmatism, presbyopia, and myopia.

The majority of people need the help of contact lenses or reading glasses as they get older and their vision is blurred. The use of glasses is just as beneficial and valuable as the use of contact lenses. The belief about wearing glasses being uncomfortable and unstylish is not true. People can choose from different style eyeglasses with a variety of frames and colors according to their taste and preference.

When people need help to see clearly on short and long distances they are advised to look for bifocal reading glasses. Bifocal reading glasses give the opportunity for people to see clearly and focus on object which are near and far. People suffering from presbyopia or myopia, or both, do not need to wear multiple pairs of eyeglasses. Bifocal reading glasses within each lens have two sections. The lower part is helping in focusing on objects being near, while the upper section improves distance vision. People suffering from Presbyopia do not have to use two pairs of glasses, reading glasses and regular glasses; they just have to wear bifocals to improve vision problems.

People’s vision is deteriorating after the age of 40, for those who had clear vision before this age need only reading glasses, but those who had vision problems, were nearsighted before they became elder need bifocal reading glasses. The use of bifocal reading glasses is also useful for farsighted people also; but in every case consulting with our ophthalmologist is necessary. Of course at first it will be uncomfortable having in one lens two different types of vision, but as time passes you can easily get familiar with your bifocal reading glasses improving your far and near vision. You will no longer have to wear two pairs of glasses, take care of two eyeglasses and feel the discomfort of continuously switching them.
